This exhibition will include works from the artist's highly acclaimed 'Series Beurre', and his newest Series: 'Torn'. These paintings continue to display the artist's focus on flow and discontinuity, using highly textured metallic impastos to deliver an impressionistic vibration from an abstract exhibitionist position. In 'Torn', Fontaigne treats the metallic sheets as a fabric, opulent, decadent, and delicate, integrating enumerable tones into the base color. Geoffrey plays an active part in contemporary art and education programs in NYC, including those at the Guggenheim Museum.
